It’s been over 12 months since I posted anything on this web site and I had a nagging feeling that I needed to just write something before the end of the year.
If you were to look at this site and blog you would be forgiven in thinking that we have not been doing anything this year. Most likely you wouldn’t be actually thinking this because it really is just a projection of my own judgement of myself for not prioritising the time to sit here and share what we have been doing. Prioritising is the key word here. Many things have had priority this year including designing and installing a new fogger system into the mushroom fruiting room.
Custom designed in the last four months and installed and tested this week. It’s working really well and might even solve a bit of our oxygen supply issues we’ve been observing of late.
When I saw this system running on Monday afternoon for the first time I felt such a wave of gratitude to the universe that my thoughts can be manifest in the world: reflecting my consciousness. Magic, the art of changing consciousness in accordance with the will.
This is what I am doing here I feel. Magic. I am not growing microgreens or mushrooms. That is just a by product of my magical practise. Soil consciousness, plant consciousness, my consciousness, oh those mushroom consciousnesses, all growing and influencing each other.
One of the feedback systems for us in relation to the mushrooms fruiting room, is this control system which was another design process which started in about May or June this year. It is quite simple and rudimentary at present and consists of a humidistat controlling the fog maker and a raspberry pie computer logging the temperature and humidity every 5 minutes. There is no automation or wifi connectivity as of yet. That may come next year.
I remember starting this data logging system two years ago and I also remember having to put the project down metaphorically, while I got down to some plain old hard work finding out how to grow microgreens and mushrooms within the limitation of my knowledge and resources. The project has taken a little bit of consciousness the whole time, like running a small process in the background taking up just another little bit of my energy bandwidth. This coming year I feel will be a reconnection to those little processes that have been running in the background. A reconnection to creatively apply some experience and knowledge.
